GERMAN LANGUAGE COURSE
 

The new method PING PONG is a prerequisite method for those who want to take the German language certificate. The students' book is accompanied by the work book and two tape cassettes to develop the listening ability. This method is a completed series appropriate for an adequate and easy learning of this language. The course starts focusing on the simplest rules of German language which are studied and revised in details, after the students has become familiar with the basic structures and are ready for the more complex language rules and structures. The course is not limited with the PING PONG method's examples and exercises; in fact a great deal of the extra material is provided with the aid of the internet from specialized official sites of language –including German- our centre collaborates with. After the classes the students have the opportunity to continue their individual independent studying on the computer lab of our centre.

1^st LEVEL

The first level, conducted with Pingpong 1 includes 12 units (lessons) focused on three main topics. In this level, students initially learn self introducing, expressions and words used while expressing abilities, preferences, and physical appearance features while relating about themselves or about others. The studied topics are mainly about everyday life at school, home, work, and about social and family life outside and inside the house respectively. At the same, communication in different situations (bank, hospital and shops) is another focus of this level. The structural studying of topics and situations is accompanied with a considerable number of the grammatical rules and more than 1200 new words. In grammar present, continuous, and past tenses are studied. The first level includes 50 classes and the students learn and develop reading, listening, writing, and communication skills.

2^nd LEVEL

The second level, conducted with Pingpong 2 includes 12 units (lessons) focused on three main topics. In this level the students learn how to discuss about their free time, family issues, festivals and traditional events, markets, and in more complicated environments expressing their point of view. The expending of interaction and converse skills is accompanied with the acquirement of more 1000 new words as well as the comprehension of more complicated structures such as the past perfect tense and other grammatical rules. The second level includes 50 classes, as well. The student that finishes these two levels can use the German language in daily life and express himself in almost all situations.
